Scoring and feedback

How Exampia grades practice

Exampia turns a practice response into a diagnostic estimate, with criteria-level feedback to help you choose what to work on next.

What the feedback considers

For writing and speaking practice, Exampia compares your response with the task requirements and published criteria available for your selected exam. Feedback can highlight task fulfilment, coherence, vocabulary, and grammar; the criteria vary by exam.

How to use a practice estimate

Read the criterion notes to identify one area to improve, then try another task. Use the score requirements and scoring rules published by your exam provider when judging readiness.

What the estimate cannot tell you

AI feedback can miss context and may differ from a qualified human assessor. It is study guidance, not an official exam score, certificate, or guarantee of a result.

The CEFR as a reference

The Council of Europe’s CEFR provides common proficiency levels and illustrative descriptors. Exam providers set their own formats and scoring rules; the CEFR does not replace them.
